DEVICE FOR COLLECTING URINE, ESPECIALLY FROM DOGS

Description: The device is independent of an external power source. Simple structure, ease of use, multiple use of the same instrument and low production cost. A wide range of application of the utility model (female dogs of different sizes and skittish individuals) and full adjustment of the distance and angle of the device (depending on the size of the dog and the height of the person collecting urine).

ABSTRACT: The presented utility model can be used in veterinary laboratory diagnostics for urine collection, especially from dogs. The urine collection device is characterized by a simple design, ease of use, multiple use of the same equipment and low cost of production. It works independently of an external power source. An additional advantage of the device is the wide range of use of the utility model (female dogs of various sizes and timid individuals) and full adjustment of the distance and angle of the device (depending on the size of the dog and the height of the person collecting urine). APPLICATION: Stress-free, precise and effective collection of urine for diagnostic purposes outside of a veterinary clinic. Collection of urine at the appropriate distance from the dog without disturbing its comfort zone, which is possible thanks to the hexagonal loop for fixing the bag, the shape of which prevents accidental contact with the pelvic limbs of the animal. Collection of urine from skittish individuals and of various size. Reduction of costs related to urine collection. AREA OF INNOVATION: The urine device consists of a telescopic handle „5” in the form of two telescopically arranged tubes with a connector „4” for lenght adjustment. The handle ends at one end with an anti-slip cap „5” enabling a firm grip, and at the other end with an articulated hinge „3” enabling the adjustment of its inclination angle in the range of 90 degrees. The diameter of the telescopic tub is smaller than the diameter of the hinge, which is connected to the fixing element „2” constituting an extension of the hinge, in the lateral openings of which a loop „1” in the form of a hexagonal frame (made of metal) for fixing the bag is attached.
